Hey, I’m Stefanie.

I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember. When I was young, I tried everything. I painted animals, made little picture books, crocheted, knitted, weaved, spun colorful yarn and read fantasy books. I wanted to do something with art as a career. However, life had other plans for me and I embarked on a scientific career: I studied biomimetics and fluid physics and ultimately became a teacher of biology and mathematics in Berlin. But I really missed being creative. After barely painting for almost two decades, I slowly started again in 2021 during my parental leave and quickly discovered the joy of making illustrations for children. I worked mostly with Illustrator or ProCreate for quite a while, now I focus on highly detailed pictures made with colored pencils, markers and watercolors. Children and animals are the main characters in my magical worlds full of light and color.
