I have a problem with „Draw this in your style“. There is something intriguing with this picture prompts that speaks to me. I love to make something in my style, make it somehow better? It is low-threshold. I often did Dtiys when I had no idea what to draw. There is a but. A big BUT. It is not yours. Not truly. So I gave me a promise. To not do Dtiys anymore. But I had to draw this Dtiys. Take a look at my insta to see the inspiration.

As always I did a sketch in my sketchbook, revised it in Procreate and added colors.

I wanted to be bold and do a watercolor underpainting. My first try went terrible wrong so I started again. But I was not brave enough to follow through with my initial plan. I only did a very light underpainting. This time I chose Derwent Drawing pencils. I had those just a few weeks.

Since Derwent released the 72 pencil pack with new colors I wanted them. But I have so many pencils. So I waited but I couldn’t resist. I bought them with a coupon as a very belated birthday present. I love the natural color palette. So this picture looks very natural. I am so looking forward to use them again!!
