Every year I have this plan: to do a postcard for Easter. This year I did it! Just 10 minutes before I ordered some postcards with an illustration of mine. I started to draw a bunny in ProCreate. I do not often start in ProCreate but this time I really enjoyed it.
After some tweaking here and there I decided which colors I wanted to use. I was going for a soft pastel look.
I used FaberCastell Polychromos colored pencils and it was very difficult for me to use light colors and not going totally colorful as always. The paper (Canson Watercolor Montval satiné) helped because the colors didn’t want to stick to it. I had a hard time working on the contrast.
After scanning I reworked the colors in Photoshop and as always they are really bright and colorful… Maybe I get my desired look sometime. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome. It is an Easter illustration. It is supposed to be fun! What do you think?
